Special Economic Zone (SEZ)- Pharmaceutical

In pursuance to development of SEZs, Parsvnath SEZ Limited (PSL), a subsidiary of Parsvnath Developers Ltd, will develop a pharmaceutical Special Economic Zone (SEZ) at Nanded in Maharashtra. The company has received an LoI from Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC), for developing the Pharma SEZ project in Krushnoor industrial area of Nanded, which is in close proximity to the SH-6 connecting Nanded and Secunderabad.. Spread over a total area of 370 acres, the Parsvnath SEZ Ltd will float a special purpose company jointly with MIDC to implement the project. PSL will hold 74% stake in the joint venture with MIDC holding balance 26%. The Nanded Pharma SEZ has already been approved and notified by the Govt. of India. MIDC has also identified an anchor unit for 20 hectares. The SEZ will be developed as a service oriented self contained estate. All the necessary infrastructure facilities for which will be proposed to be designed and operated to create an ideal ambiance. It will provide world class infrastructure to revive interest amongst multiple players from the pharmaceutical sector. The Bhoomi Puja ceremony and foundation stone laying was performed in the presence of Mr. Ashok Chavan, Minister for Industry, Cultural Affairs, Parliamentary Affairs & Mines, Government of Maharashtra and senior officials of Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC) Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Ashok Chavan said, “The SEZ will help bringing in FDI and will fuel exports from the region. We complement PDL, in pioneering the concept of Pharma SEZ in our state. It will create substantial direct & indirect employment. The excellent facility, I am confident, will attract many global Pharma majors to set up their latest ventures at Nanded.” Aprox. investment to Develop SEZ is Rs.300 Crs. & Employment generated is about 2200.
FLORICULTURAL PARK:
Maharashtra has emerged as a leading state for production, export and consumption of flowers in the country. MIDC is promoting a Floriculture Park at Mudkhed, Near Nanded, over 200 hectare of area, ideal for setting up of a Floriculture Park. This park would be developed as a world-class facility for production of flowers of different types and varietiesAs per the concept of the Park, plots will be allotted to individuals willing to start their own Floriculture units. MIDC would be providing common facilities like post harvest service and logistics, besides professionally run plant propagation nurseries through service providers for production of qualitative planting material at economical rates. This concept will help the growers to grow high quality flowers at most competitive cost of production. Provision for residential dwellings for each grower have been made in individual units. Space for setting up of plant propagation nurseries and post harvest center is being provided by the MIDC to the entrepreneurs.

Such a concept is only of its kind in the world. This would provide a lifestyle business opportunity to the investors in growing units and excellent business opportunity to service providers who would set up common facilities like nursery and post harvest center at par with international standards.
Internal infrastructure like, road network, water supply, electricity supply, administrative and commercial complex etc. is under development. To promote traditional floricultural activity at  Mudkhed. Govt.of Maharashtra has declared Floricultural Park at Mudkhed. M.I.D.C. is implementing agency. M.I.D.C. is going to provide common facilities like  Cold Storage, Poly house, Pack House for related farmers. There is wide scope for Export business in this Industry.
